The experimental wall-pressure spectra and intensities from the seven PCB sensors are assumed to provide sufficient information to constrain the entire three-dimensional unsteady flow field, including the separation region and shock motion, within the DNS.
EnVar assimilation of wall-pressure data from seven sensors is required to accurately predict separation onset and downstream pressures in Mach 6 cone-flare DNS, while upstream sensors alone are insufficient.
