Claims

C1strongest claim

rotation barely influences the appearance and luminosity levels of the blue loops. While luminosity increases with increasing initial rotation rate, the increase does not exceed 0.04 dex, a fraction of the increase resulting from including the main sequence core overshooting of 0.2Hp.

C2weakest assumption

The fully diffusive approximation for rotationally induced mixing processes is adequate to capture the effects of rotation on main-sequence and post-main-sequence evolution for these masses and metallicities.

C3one line summary

Rotation produces only modest changes to blue loop luminosity and extent in MESA Cepheid models and cannot fix the mass discrepancy without substantial main-sequence overshooting.
