abstract

We study four dimensional $N=2$ supersymmetric gauge theories on $R^3 \times S^1$ with a circle of radius $R$. They interpolate between four dimensional gauge theories ($R=\infty$) and $N=4$ supersymmetric gauge theories in three dimensions ($R=0$). The vacuum structure can be determined quite precisely as a function of $R$, agreeing with three and four-dimensional results in the two limits.

Quiver Yangians as Coulomb branch algebras

hep-th · 2025-02-03 · unverdicted · novelty 6.0

Conjectures that quantum Coulomb branch algebras of 3D N=4 unitary quiver gauge theories equal truncated shifted quiver Yangians Y(ˆQ, ˆW), verified explicitly for tree-type quivers via monopole actions on 1/2-BPS vortices.

Bridging 4D QFTs and 2D VOAs via 3D high-temperature EFTs

hep-th · 2024-09-26 · unverdicted · novelty 6.0

High-temperature limits on higher sheets of the superconformal index for (A1,A2n) Argyres-Douglas theories yield Gang-Kim-Stubbs 3d N=2 theories whose boundaries support Virasoro minimal model VOAs M(2,2n+3) and associated MTCs.

On Quantum Obstructions in Type IIA Orientifolds

hep-th · 2026-04-28 · unverdicted · novelty 6.0

Quantum corrections obstruct infinite distance limits in Type IIA orientifold Kähler moduli unless other moduli are also taken to infinity, as shown by worldsheet EFT strings, massless towers, and M-theory G2 uplifts.
