abstract

Contrary to recent claims in the literature, a simple test for reflection positivite, which we call perturbative reflection positivity in the coincidence limit, is shown to be satisfied for nonlocal field theories. Particular attention is given to weakly nonlocal gravity and gauge theories.

Minimum Virtual Proper Time and Finite Mass--Charge Matching in QED

math-ph · 2026-06-21 · unverdicted · novelty 5.0

A finite-proper-time QED formulation with cutoff s0=Λ^{-2} produces finite transverse vacuum polarization, satisfies reflection positivity with positive spectral function, and yields a one-loop mass of 0.482 MeV for chosen Λ=13 TeV plus a finite anomalous magnetic moment correction.
