IdiomX is a 190K-example multilingual idiom benchmark spanning detection, retrieval, cross-lingual retrieval, and interpretation tasks with baselines showing hybrid retrieval and reranking outperform single-paradigm approaches.
A query-level split is used to avoid sentence leakage while allowing the same idiom to appear across splits in different contextual realizations
