Derives that the MC replica method produces a distribution differing from the Bayesian Laplace approximation by a single computable matrix (residual-weighted Hessian), whose sign and magnitude determine over- or under-estimation of uncertainties in nonlinear models.

abstract
We present a global analysis of the Higgs and electroweak sector based on LHC Run II and electroweak precision observables. We show which measurements provide the leading constraints on Higgs-related operators, and how the achieved LHC precision makes it necessary to combine rate measurements with electroweak precision observables. The SFitter framework allows us to include kinematic distributions beyond pre-defined ATLAS and CMS observables, independently study correlations, and avoid Gaussian assumptions for theory uncertainties. These Run II results are a step towards a precision physics program at the LHC, interpreted in terms of effective operators.

The work supplies a modular SMEFT likelihood for EWPD that includes NLO effects and five input schemes, then combines it with LHC measurements to tighten constraints on lepton-flavor universality and quark coupling asymmetries.
A 10 TeV muon collider could improve existing bounds on muon-Higgs-gauge and muon-top interactions by up to an order of magnitude over current limits and FCC-ee projections.
Higher-order QCD predictions for pp to tW enable three-parameter SMEFT fits that constrain effective new-physics scales to 0.5–2 TeV using LHC Run II and III data.
Three nonlinear interacting dark energy models with a saturation ('sparseness') scale are constrained against late-time cosmological data, showing mild preference for nonzero sparseness but no decisive improvement over ΛCDM.
Reviews advances toward global SMEFT fits across top, Higgs, and electroweak sectors including NLO QCD effects and multi-sector combinations.
