abstract
I introduce the concept of *entanglement entropy* (as it's now called) and point out that it follows an *area law* which renders it a suitable source of black hole entropy. I also suggest to conceive the latter as residing on the horizon at approximately one bit per "Planckian plaquette".

Exact computation of logarithmic negativity between arbitrary compact regions in 1+1D massless scalar field vacuum via Kähler structure diagonalization of partially-transposed complex structure, reformulated as complex-plane boundary value problem.
Analytic computation of logarithmic negativity and closed-form negativity cores for vacuum entanglement between two bounded regions in 1+1D free massless scalar QFT.
String entanglement entropy between folded strings in the sine-Liouville CFT, computed via worldsheet replica trick, accounts for black-hole thermal entropy, with the vertex-operator part matching exactly in the low-temperature large-D limit.
Evanescent quantum extremal surfaces, bounded in area but not generalized entropy, diagnose failures of spacetime emergence in holography.
In f(R) theories, the replica-method gravitational entropy computed on the apparent horizon matches the Hollands-Wald-Zhang dynamical black hole entropy and satisfies the first law, while the event horizon does not; this lets the generalized second law be reinterpreted as matter entanglement across
High velocity enhances holographic entanglement entropy in charged plasmas, with thermal effects dominating at high speeds and velocity becoming dominant in the ultrarelativistic regime.
