MR-SCDFT augments standard multireference DFT by using stochastic fields to create reference configurations and a projection-selection step, yielding lower ground-state energies, smaller proton radii, and softer bands than conventional MR-CDFT for 20Ne, 24Mg, and 28Si.

abstract
We report the results of the second measurement campaign of the Karlsruhe Tritium Neutrino (KATRIN) experiment. KATRIN probes the effective electron anti-neutrino mass, $m_{\nu}$, via a high-precision measurement of the tritium $\beta$-decay spectrum close to its endpoint at $18.6\,\mathrm{keV}$. In the second physics run presented here, the source activity was increased by a factor of 3.8 and the background was reduced by $25\,\%$ with respect to the first campaign. A sensitivity on $m_{\nu}$ of $0.7\,\mathrm{eV/c^2}$ at $90\,\%$ confidence level (CL) was reached. This is the first sub-eV sensitivity from a direct neutrino-mass experiment. The best fit to the spectral data yields $m_{\nu}^2 = (0.26\pm0.34)\,\mathrm{eV^4/c^4}$, resulting in an upper limit of $m_{\nu}<0.9\,\mathrm{eV/c^2}$ ($90\,\%$ CL). By combining this result with the first neutrino mass campaign, we find an upper limit of $m_{\nu}<0.8\,\mathrm{eV/c^2}$ ($90\,\%$ CL).

Galaxy pairwise peculiar velocities from Cosmicflows-4 yield M_ν = 0.24^{+0.34}_{-0.18} eV and η² = 2.14^{+0.30}_{-0.32} (7σ non-zero asymmetry) in the CMB framework, consistent with prior Planck results.
First-year DESI BAO data are consistent with flat LambdaCDM and, when combined with CMB, show a 2.5-3.9 sigma preference for evolving dark energy (w0 > -1, wa < 0) that strengthens with certain supernova datasets.
A one-loop Dirac neutrino mass model stabilized by a non-invertible fusion rule from Z3 x Z3' accommodates oscillation data and provides a viable bosonic dark matter candidate.
Tritium bound to graphene decays with a beta spectrum whose endpoint shifts by tens of eV and acquires bound-state features, depending on the assumed final-state potential for helium.
ACT DR6 CMB lensing map gives σ8 = 0.819 ± 0.015 and H0 = 68.3 ± 1.1 km/s/Mpc, consistent with Planck ΛCDM but 1.7-2.1σ higher in S8 than KiDS, DES, and HSC galaxy surveys.
Universal seesaw under a chiral U(1)_R forbids ordinary Yukawas except the top, generates charged-fermion and neutrino hierarchies, and realizes tree-level Nelson-Barr protection of strong CP.
DESI DR2 BAO and full-shape data plus CMB yield ∑m_ν < 0.0642 eV (95% CL) under ΛCDM, in 3σ tension with oscillation lower limits, relaxed to <0.163 eV in w0waCDM.
Upper bounds on total neutrino mass in four phenomenological interacting dark energy models are derived from DESI DR2 BAO plus CMB and SNIa data, showing strong dependence on the interaction term form and statistical preference for models that tighten the bound below the oscillation lower limit.
Hybrid string-bounded domain wall networks from sequential U(1)_F and Z2 symmetry breaking generate a GW spectrum with a unique low-frequency slope that future detectors can observe and an MLP surrogate can characterize for fast SNR inference.
A remote-ADC data acquisition system — 168-channel digitizer boards at 62.5 MS/s streaming 192 Gb/s over optical links into FPGA pulse-processing and histogramming — is designed and built for the TRISTAN upgrade of KATRIN.
