We describe a novel implementation of non-relativistic fermions in AdS/CFT by imposing Lorentz violating boundary conditions for a Dirac spinor in AdS4. The dual boundary theory is scale invariant and exhibits a number of interesting properties, including a dispersionless flat band of gapless excitations.

Topology in Holographic Mean-Field Theory at Zero and Finite Temperature
Holographic mean-field theory produces a quantized half-integer Chern number for one fermion flavor and integer Chern numbers for two flavors, robust to temperature and interaction strength.

Out-of-bounds hydrodynamics in holographic anisotropic Dirac semimetals
A backreacted holographic model of an anisotropic Dirac semimetal gives η/s below the KSS bound in the quantum critical region, with low-temperature scaling η/s ~ T^0.56 tied to a Lifshitz dynamical exponent z ≈ 1.9.
