We investigate simplified models in which dark matter particles, taken to be either Dirac or Majorana fermions, couple to quarks via colored mediators. We determine bounds from colliders and direct detection experiments, and show how the interplay of the two leads to a complementary view of this class of dark matter models. Forecasts for future searches in light of the current constraints are presented.

  1. Connecting $t$-channel Dark Matter Models to the Standard Model Effective Field Theory

    hep-ph 2025-07 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

One-loop SMEFT Wilson coefficients for leptophilic t-channel dark matter, combined with global fits, exclude large coupling regions, especially C_ell_ell for doublet mediators and C_ed above 3 TeV.

  2. Fermion-Portal Dark Matter at a High-Energy Muon Collider

    hep-ph 2024-12 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

At a 10 TeV muon collider, fermion-portal dark matter mediators could be discovered up to about 4.7 TeV, and including the muon parton distribution in simulations lowers the predicted reach and changes signal shapes.

  3. Toward a Comprehensive Exploration of Flavored Dark Matter Models

    hep-ph 2025-11 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

A new public toolchain maps the allowed parameter space of flavored Majorana dark matter models under relic density, direct/indirect detection, LHC, and flavor constraints, finding severe limits from mu->e gamma in th...
