abstract

The rare decays $B^0 \to K^{*0} \mu^+ \mu^-$ and $B_s \to \phi \mu^+ \mu^-$ are now being observed with enough precision to test Standard Model predictions. A full understanding of these decays requires accurate determinations of the corresponding hadronic form factors. Here we present results of lattice QCD calculations of the $B \to K^*$ and $B_s \to \phi$ form factors; we also determine the form factors relevant for the tree-level decays $B_s \to K^* \ell \nu$. We use full-QCD configurations including 2+1 flavors of sea quarks using an improved staggered action, and we employ lattice non-relativistic QCD to describe the bottom quark.

    hep-ph 2026-07 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

    HyperIso is a new modular software tool that computes flavour observables and BSM Wilson coefficients, validated against SuperIso and MARTY, with a copula-based uncertainty engine.

  2. A Dispersive Look at Rare $B$-meson Semileptonic Decays

    hep-ph 2026-07 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

    Lattice-only Dispersive Matrix form factors enlarge large-recoil uncertainties and, with new angular data, favour long-distance hadronic effects over a short-distance C9 New Physics shift.

  3. SCET sum rules for $\Lambda_b \to \Lambda \ell^+\ell^-$, $\Lambda \gamma$ decays

    hep-ph 2025-06 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

    SCET light-cone sum rules give NLO soft form factors and small non-factorizable corrections for Λ_b → Λ decays, with a Λ_b → Λ γ branching fraction consistent with data.

  4. Time-Dependent Precision Measurement of $B_s^0\rightarrow \phi \mu^+\mu^-$ Decay at FCC-$ee$

    hep-ph 2025-06 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

    FCC-ee could measure B_s -> phi mu+ mu- branching ratio to 0.5% and time-dependent CP observables D_f, C_f, S_f to 0.1, 0.02, and 0.02, giving order-of-magnitude better Wilson coefficient constraints than pre-FCC projections.

  5. Unitarity bounds and form-factor predictions for $B$-meson decays

    hep-ph 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 5.0 of 10

    Reviews unitarity bounds for B-meson form factors, shows standard methods apply rigorously only to B→π, develops GG parametrization for general cases, and delivers combined-analysis predictions with public supplementa...

  6. Angular observables and branching ratio for $B_s\to \phi \ell^+ \ell^-$ decay

    hep-ph 2025-10 conditional novelty 4.0 of 10

    Using the covariant confined quark model, the paper predicts branching fraction, F_L, A_FB and optimized angular observables for B_s → φ ℓ+ℓ− and finds broad agreement with LHCb data.
