We present a preliminary study of the Globular Cluster RGB devoted to improve the available constraint for the axion-electron coupling. By means of multi-band IR photometry of the cluster M3 we obtain g_{ae}/10^{-13} < 2.57 (95\% C.L.).

  1. Core Composition Effects on the QCD Axion Mass Limit from Neutron Star Cooling

    hep-ph 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 4.0 of 10

Varying neutron star core composition with hyperons and Delta resonances mildly affects the QCD axion mass limit from cooling, potentially bringing the DFSZ limit into the IAXO sensitivity window.
