abstract

Expected precisions of measurements of the elastic scattering cross sections are estimated for $\mu^+ \mu^+$ and $\mu^+ e^-$ colliders, which are recently proposed as future realistic possibilities ($\mu$TRISTAN). Comparing with contributions from possible new physics represented by higher dimensional operators, we find that the measurements at a TeV energy $\mu^+\mu^+$ collider can probe the scale of new physics up to $O(100)$~TeV. A $\mu^+ e^-$ collider for the Higgs boson factory can also improve the electroweak precision test.

  1. Multiboson Signatures of Doubly Charged Scalars at a Same-Sign Muon Collider

    hep-ph 2026-07 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

A same-sign muon collider at 2 TeV with 1 ab^-1 could reach 2-sigma sensitivity to Type-II seesaw doubly charged scalars decaying to WW up to roughly 425-430 GeV, slightly extending current LHC coverage.

  2. Probing flavor-diagonal couplings of doubly-charged scalar at low and high energies

    hep-ph 2025-12 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

Flavor-diagonal couplings of a TeV-scale right-handed doubly-charged scalar in the LRSM could be probed down to ~10^-2 by combining low-energy precision measurements with future lepton colliders.

  3. Probing maximal flavor changing $Z'$ in $U(1)_{L_\mu-L_\tau}$ at $\mu$TRISTAN

    hep-ph 2025-07 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

    MuTRISTAN's mu+mu+ mode could discover a mu-tau flavor-changing Z' with gauge coupling near 0.024 for masses around 500 GeV.
