Axion-like particles (ALPs) are good candidates for mediators to the dark sector. We explore scenarios in which an ALP mediates interactions between dark matter and electroweak gauge bosons. These models yield testable electromagnetic signals in astrophysical, cosmological, and terrestrial probes. We find promising prospects for both indirect detection and accelerator tests, with interesting parameter space already constrained by current experiments. Our work provides concrete benchmarks for future tests of the electroweak ALP portal.

  1. The Dark Side of a Tera-Z Factory

    hep-ph 2025-07 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

Future Tera-Z runs at FCC-ee/CEPC could indirectly probe TeV-scale t-channel dark matter portals through one-loop and two-loop electroweak precision shifts, and in leptophilic models would be the only planned experime...

  2. Majoron Dark Energy via Freezing Induced by Quantum Coherence

    hep-ph 2026-07 conditional novelty 6.5 of 10

Quantum coherence lag in a hidden pseudo-Dirac sterile reservoir can freeze a physical Majoron into a metastable w≈−1 phase even when m_φ ≫ H_0.

  3. Could an axion-like particle be hidden in $\eta_c\to\gamma\gamma$?

    hep-ph 2025-06 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

The authors propose that an axion-like particle with mass about 2.98 GeV and width about 31 MeV may explain the discrepancy in eta_c to gamma gamma measurements and show it is not yet excluded.
