  1. Bosonic M-Theory From a Kac-Moody Algebra Perspective

    hep-th 2025-01 reject novelty 6.0 of 10

Using Kac-Moody algebra embeddings, the paper concludes that a non-trivial 11D bosonic m-theory must be m-theory, while a 27D bosonic m-theory based on K27/E27 does not exist.

  2. Brane Symmetries Revisited: Symmetries of Tensile and Tensionless Branes in Possibly Degenerate Metrics and their Manifestations

    hep-th 2025-12 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

Tensionless p-branes and branes in degenerate-metric spacetimes admit symmetry transformations built from Killing tensors of arbitrary rank, extending string W-symmetries to all brane dimensions.
