abstract

For transport model simulations of collisions between two nuclei which have $N/Z$ significantly different from unity one needs a one-body potential which is both isospin and momentum dependent. This work provides sets of such potentials.

  1. Extended Skyrme effective interactions with higher-order momentum-dependence for transport models and neutron stars

    nucl-th 2024-12 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

The authors generalize the Skyrme pseudopotential to N5LO with p^10 momentum dependence, fit it to the optical potential up to 2 GeV, and show the resulting interactions reproduce HADES proton flow data.

  2. Experimental Study of Bremsstrahlung Gamma Ray Emission and Short-Range Correlations in $^{124}$Sn+$^{124}$Sn Collisions at 25 MeV/u

    nucl-ex 2025-08 unverdicted novelty 5.0 of 10

Precision measurement of bremsstrahlung gamma rays in 124Sn+124Sn collisions at 25 MeV/u yields a high-momentum tail fraction of (20 ± 3)% in 124Sn when compared to IBUU simulations.

  3. Investigating the possibility of extracting neutron-skin thickness in nuclei by their collisions at intermediate energies

    nucl-th 2024-11 accept novelty 5.0 of 10

In simulated intermediate-energy tin collisions, the free neutron-to-proton yield ratio is more sensitive to the symmetry potential than to the initial neutron-skin thickness in most kinematics.
