Some interesting consequences of spacelike matter shells are presented, in particular the possibility of travelling through Cauchy horizons and violating the strong cosmic censorship principle. These show that the weak energy condition does not guarentee cosmic censorship.

  1. On static and rotating decoupled black holes without inner horizons

    gr-qc 2024-12 conditional novelty 4.0 of 10

The authors construct a family of static and rotating black hole metrics with an extra 1/r^n hair that, for negative hair parameter, removes the Cauchy horizon and makes the central singularity spacelike.
