abstract

In this paper, we first review the theoretical and experimental studies of the process $\Lambda_c^+ \to \pi^+ \eta \Lambda$. Motivated by the recent BESIII and Belle measurements, we have conducted a theoretical study of the process $\Lambda_c^+ \to \pi^+ \eta \Lambda$, where the $a_0(980)$ and $\Lambda(1670)$ resonances are dynamically generated from the $S$-wave meson meson and meson baryon interaction, respectively. Our results give a reasonable description of the invariant mass distributions, which implies that the spin flip contribution in the $\Sigma(1385)$ excitation plays an important role.
