abstract
We perform a general model-independent analysis of $b \to c \tau \bar{\nu}_\tau $ transitions, including measurements of $\mathcal{R}_D$, $\mathcal{R}_{D^*}$, their $q^2$ differential distributions, the recently measured longitudinal $D^*$ polarization $F_L^{D^*}$, and constraints from the $B_c \to \tau \bar{\nu}_\tau$ lifetime, each of which has significant impact on the fit. A global fit to a general set of Wilson coefficients of an effective low-energy Hamiltonian is presented, the solutions of which are interpreted in terms of hypothetical new-physics mediators. From the obtained results we predict selected $b \to c\tau\bar\nu_\tau$ observables, such as the baryonic transition $\Lambda_b \to \Lambda_c \tau \bar{\nu}_\tau$, the ratio $\mathcal{R}_{J/\psi}$, the forward-backward asymmetries ${\cal A}_\text{FB}^{D^{(*)}}$, the $\tau$ polarization asymmetries $\mathcal{P}_\tau^{D^{(*)}}$, and the longitudinal $D^*$ polarization fraction $F_L^{D^*}$. The latter shows presently a slight tension with any new-physics model, such that an improved measurement could have an important impact. We also discuss the potential change due the very recently announced preliminary $\mathcal{R}_{D^{(*)}}$ measurement by the Belle collaboration.

Flavor Violations in $B$-Mesons within Non-Minimal SU(5)
A non-minimal SU(5) model with R2 leptoquark and S6 diquark is fitted to B-decay anomalies in b→cτν, B→Kπ, and B→Kνν, but the benchmark B→Kνν rate rises only about 3.5% above the Standard Model.

With or without U(2)? Probing non-standard flavor and helicity structures in semileptonic B decays
Under the minimally-broken U(2)_q × U(2)_ℓ flavor symmetry hypothesis, semileptonic B decay amplitudes are controlled by a few parameters, yielding testable correlations such as equal new-physics effects in b→u and b→...

Further tests of lepton flavour universality from the charged lepton energy distribution in $b\to c$ semileptonic decays: The case of $\Lambda_b\to \Lambda_c \ell \bar\nu_\ell$
The c2 coefficient of the charged-lepton energy-squared distribution in any H to H' l nu semileptonic decay is lepton-flavor independent in the SM, and a2/c2 is a universal function of omega.

Probing the $\Lambda_{b}\to \Lambda_{c}^{*}\tau \bar{\nu}_{\tau}$ decays with leptoquarks
In the U1 and S1 leptoquark models, the ratio R_Λ_c* for Λ_b -> Λ_c*(2595,2625) τ ν̄_τ decays deviates from the Standard Model prediction, making it a promising probe of new physics.
