abstract

A flavor-universal extension of the strong interactions was recently proposed in response to the apparent excess of high-$E_T$ jets in the inclusive jet spectrum measured at the Tevatron. This paper studies the color octet of massive gauge bosons (`colorons') that is present in the low-energy spectrum of the model's Higgs phase. Constraints from searches for new particles decaying to dijets and from measurements of the weak-interaction $\rho$ parameter imply that the colorons must have masses greater than 870-1000 GeV. The implications of recent Tevatron data and the prospective input from future experiments are also discussed.

  1. Dyeing form factors as amplitudes

    hep-th 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 7.0 of 10

A dyeing procedure maps form factors to colored amplitudes, recovering the originals by bleaching and explaining double-copy features through standard BCJ relations.

  2. Tailored PDFs for New Physics searches

    hep-ph 2026-02 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Using closure tests with W', Z', and coloron models, the paper shows that either excluding high-energy data or fitting PDFs jointly with SMEFT coefficients prevents new-physics signals from being absorbed into the pro...

Search for narrow dijet resonances in the 0.6-1.8 TeV mass range with data scouting in 117 fb^{-1} of 13 TeV data finds no significant signal and sets model-independent upper limits on various resonance types and dark...
