abstract

We introduce a generalization of bivariate Griffiths polynomials depending on an additional parameter $\lambda$. These $\lambda$-Griffiths polynomials are bivariate, bispectral and biorthogonal. For two specific values of the parameter $\lambda$, they become orthogonal. One of the value is related to the usual bivariate Griffiths polynomials, while the second value produces new orthogonal bivariate polynomials.

  1. Contiguity relations for finite families of orthogonal polynomials in the Askey scheme

    math.CA 2025-04 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

The paper gives a complete classification of A2, B2, and B2-prime contiguity relations for the finite Askey scheme families, and proves all A2 relations are Christoffel or Geronimus transforms.
