We give an overview of the different non-Lorentzian supergravity theories in diverse dimensions that have been constructed in recent years. After giving a detailed discussion of non-Lorentzian geometries as compared to Lorentzian geometries, we outline some of the construction methods that have been applied to obtain non-Lorentzian supergravity. Explicit results are given for non-Lorentzian supergravity theories in three and ten dimensions.

  1. Higher-Order Newton-Cartan Gravity

    hep-th 2025-07 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

The authors derive non-relativistic Newton-Cartan limits of quadratic gravity theories, obtaining higher-order corrected Poisson equations for Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet and Ricci-squared gravity.

  2. Can Non-Relativistic Strings Propagate Without Geometric Baggage?

    hep-th 2025-06 reject novelty 4.0 of 10

The paper claims that standard Newton-Cartan geometry is sufficient for classical non-relativistic string propagation, making the auxiliary gauge fields of gauging-the-algebra constructions dynamically redundant.

  3. An Introduction to String Newton-Cartan Holography and Integrability

    hep-th 2026-03 accept novelty 3.0 of 10

String Newton-Cartan holography, the non-relativistic limit of the AdS/CFT correspondence, is organized and reviewed around five consistency conditions, with its classical solutions, spectrum, and integrability structure.
