We present the heavy-to-light form factors with two different non-vanishing masses at next-to-next-to-leading order and study its expansion in the small mass. The leading term of this small-mass expansion leads to a factorized expression for the form factor. The presence of a second mass results in a new feature, in that the soft contribution develops a factorization anomaly. This cancels with the corresponding anomaly in the collinear contribution. With the generalized factorization presented here, it is possible to obtain the leading small-mass terms for processes with large masses, such as muon-electron scattering, from the corresponding massless amplitude and the soft contribution.

  1. Towards NNLO QCD predictions for off-shell top-quark pair production and decays

    hep-ph 2025-07 conditional novelty 8.0 of 10

The first NNLO QCD prediction for off-shell W+W-bbbar production with massive bottom quarks at the LHC, using a double-pole approximation for the two-loop virtual and an on-shell matching for non-factorisable corrections.

  2. Precise predictions for $t \bar t H$ production at the LHC: inclusive cross section and differential distributions

    hep-ph 2024-11 accept novelty 8.0 of 10

First fully differential NNLO QCD predictions for ttH production at the LHC, with the missing two-loop virtual part estimated by two complementary approximations and merged with NLO electroweak corrections.

  3. Towards testing $(g-2)_\tau$ in $e^+e^-\to\tau^+\tau^-$: radiative corrections and projections for Belle II

    hep-ph 2025-05 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

A complete one-loop QED calculation for polarized e+e- to tau+tau- is implemented in the McMule Monte-Carlo code, showing that Belle II with a polarized beam could test the tau anomalous magnetic moment at the 10^-5 level.

  4. The structure of quark mass corrections in the $gg \rightarrow HH$ amplitude at high-energy

    hep-ph 2024-12 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

The leading-power mass logarithms in high-energy gg to HH are shown to originate solely from top-quark mass renormalization, enabling a resummation that sharply reduces the mass-scheme uncertainty of the virtual amplitude.
