We give a detailed exposition of the Alexandrov-Kontsevich-Schwarz- Zaboronsky superfield formalism using the language of graded manifolds. As a main illustarting example, to every Courant algebroid structure we associate canonically a three-dimensional topological sigma-model. Using the AKSZ formalism, we construct the Batalin-Vilkovisky master action for the model.

  1. Asymptotic boundary structure of Lagrangian gauge theories

    hep-th 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 7.0 of 10

Bulk Q-cocycles determine renormalized and anomaly Q-cocycles on asymptotic boundaries of gauge PDEs, with the anomaly structure reproducing the holographic Weyl anomaly in AdS.

  2. Homotopies in Batalin-Vilkovisky Formalism

    math-ph 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 6.0 of 10

Reviews homotopies in geometric BV formalism and builds new examples from RG flow and gauge changes to produce spans of quantum master actions with isomorphic effective actions.

  3. Gauged Courant sigma models

    hep-th 2026-01 unverdicted novelty 6.0 of 10

Gauged Courant sigma models extend Courant sigma models by adding gauge symmetries from Lie algebroids and Courant algebroids, with consistency ensured by flatness conditions on target-space curvatures and torsions.

  4. M. Kontsevich's graph complexes and universal structures on graded symplectic manifolds

    math.QA 2019-08 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

For every d at least 2, the full Kontsevich graph complex maps injectively into the Chevalley-Eilenberg complex of the n=d-1 Schouten algebra, so its zeroth cohomology acts via L-infinity automorphisms on graded sympl...

  5. Sandwich Construction of Symmetry TFTs for the Centre Symmetries of Chern-Simons, Yang-Mills, and Einstein Gravity

    hep-th 2025-09 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

Constructs AKSZ sandwich SymTFTs with stacky target spaces that encode the center symmetries of Chern-Simons, Yang-Mills, and MacDowell-Mansouri gravity.
