Hybrid b-bar-gb molecules in which the heavy b-bar-b pair is bound together by the excited gluon field g are studied using the Born-Oppenheimer expansion and numerical simulations. The consistency of results from the two approaches reveals a simple and compelling physical picture for heavy hybrid states.

  1. Wilson loops with neural networks

    hep-lat 2026-02 unverdicted novelty 7.0 of 10

Neural networks parametrize gauge-invariant interpolators that extract ground-state Wilson loops with improved signal-to-noise ratio compared to traditional methods while preserving gauge invariance.

  2. Portraits of Charmoniumlike States

    hep-ph 2025-05 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Lattice QCD density-density correlations provide the first gauge-invariant spatial portraits of 1S, 1P, and exotic charmoniumlike states, showing relativistic radial structures and an S-wave color-octet c cbar plus gl...

  3. $\boldsymbol{\chi_{c1}}(3872)$ and its Partners in the Diabatic Born-Oppenheimer Approximation for QCD

    hep-ph 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 5.0 of 10

χ_c1(3872) is treated as a bound state in adjoint-meson Born-Oppenheimer potentials within a diabatic model, with calculated spin splittings and decay widths for its multiplet and bottom analogs after tuning to threshold.

  4. The Pattern of Exotic Hidden-Heavy Hadrons Revealed

    hep-ph 2025-07 reject novelty 3.0 of 10

Exotic hidden-heavy hadrons are proposed as near-threshold bound states and resonances in Born-Oppenheimer potentials that are repulsive at short range and cross the heavy-hadron-pair threshold.
