The application of the effective field theory (EFT) method to nuclear systems is reviewed. The roles of degrees of freedom, QCD symmetries, power counting, renormalization, and potentials are discussed. EFTs are constructed for various energy regimes of relevance in nuclear physics, and are used in systematic expansions to derive nuclear forces in terms of a number of parameters that embody information about QCD dynamics. Two-, three-, and many-nucleon systems, including external probes, are considered.

EFT analysis of New Physics at COHERENT with Dirac neutrinos
COHERENT data can constrain flavor-general new physics in both neutrino production and detection once right-handed Dirac neutrinos are included, and the full rate reduces to a compact set of effective nuclear charges.

Coulomb Corrections to Three-Nucleon Moments
Pionless EFT calculations find unexpectedly small O(alpha) Coulomb corrections to three-nucleon magnetic moments and GT matrix elements, yielding a fitted prediction for the proton-proton fusion reduced matrix element...
