abstract
Measurements are reported of the central exclusive production of \jpsi and \psitwos mesons in $pp$ collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. Backgrounds are significantly reduced compared to previous measurements made at lower energies through the use of new forward shower counters. The products of the cross-sections and the branching fractions for the decays to dimuons, where both muons are within the pseudorapidity range $2.0<\eta<4.5$, are measured to be $$ \begin{array}{rcl} \sigma_{J/\psi\rightarrow\mu^+\mu^-}&=&435 \pm 18 \pm 17 \pm 16 {\rm \ pb},\\ \sigma_{\psi(2S)\rightarrow\mu^+\mu^-}&=&11.1 \pm 1.1 \pm 0.3 \pm 0.4 {\rm \ pb}.\\ \end{array} $$ The first uncertainties are statistical, the second are systematic, and the third are due to the luminosity determination. The cross-sections are also measured differentially for meson rapidities between 2.0 and 4.5. Good agreement is observed with theoretical predictions. Photoproduction cross-sections are derived and compared to previous experiments, and a deviation from a pure power-law extrapolation of lower energy data is observed.

Physics-Informed Global Extraction of the Universal Small-$x$ Dipole Amplitude
hep-ph 2026-03 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10
A nonparametric PINN-constrained dipole amplitude simultaneously describes HERA total/charm DIS and J/psi photoproduction while maintaining Fourier positivity, unlike analytic MV-type fits.

Collision energy dependence in heavy ion collisions from nonlinear QCD evolution
nucl-th 2025-02 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10
JIMWLK evolution of the nuclear initial state flattens the centrality dependence of multiplicity and lowers mean transverse momentum, improving data agreement at LHC energies.

Gluon Saturation Effects in Exclusive Heavy Vector Meson Photoproduction
hep-ph 2024-11 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10
Exclusive J/psi photoproduction off Pb targets prefers BK evolution with gluon saturation over linear BFKL evolution, and Upsilon production is predicted to distinguish them only at higher energies.

Finite-size effects on small-$x$ evolution and saturation in proton and nuclear targets
hep-ph 2024-11 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10
Including the proton's finite transverse size in small-x evolution weakens saturation effects compared with impact-parameter-averaged treatments, while lead-target predictions are insensitive to scheme choices once fi...

Exclusive $J/\psi$ photoproduction in photon-proton diffractive scattering: A light-front Hamiltonian approach
hep-ph 2026-07 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10
BLFQ proton and J/ψ light-front wave functions yield a slightly lower exclusive J/ψ photoproduction cross section than prior models, with matching exponential slope B≈3 GeV^{-2}, usable as BK initial conditions.

Absorption of $\psi(2S)$ mesons in nuclei
nucl-th 2025-02 conditional novelty 4.0 of 10
Near-threshold photoproduction of ψ(2S) mesons on nuclei is predicted to show measurable sensitivity to the unknown ψ(2S)-nucleon absorption cross section, motivating measurements at an upgraded CEBAF.
