We propose a method to establish time reversal symmetry violation at future neutrino oscillation experiments in a largely model-independent way. We introduce a general parametrization of flavour transition probabilities which holds under weak assumptions and covers a large class of new-physics scenarios. This can be used to search for the presence of T-odd components in the transition probabilities by comparing data at different baselines but at the same neutrino energies. We show that this test can be performed already with experiments at three different baselines and might be feasible with experiments under preparation/consideration.

  1. Analytic formulae for T violation in neutrino oscillations

    hep-ph 2025-02 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Analytic expressions for T violation are derived for standard neutrino oscillations, nonstandard interactions, and unitarity violation, with different energy dependences that could distinguish new physics.

  2. Sterile-active resonance: A global qualitative picture

    hep-ph 2024-11 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

An analytic effective theory of the sterile-active MSW resonance in the (3+1) model reveals that only three channels, P(νe→νe), P(ν̄e→ν̄e), and P(ν̄μ→ν̄τ), carry unsuppressed on-peak resonance effects.

  3. Testing lepton non-unitarity with the next generation of Germanium-based CE$\nu$NS reactor experiments

    hep-ph 2025-12 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

A future 100-kg Germanium reactor CEνNS experiment could constrain lepton non-unitarity to 1−α11² ≈ 0.005 and, under low-scale seesaw assumptions, probe new-physics scales up to ~2.5 TeV.

  4. Rephasing invariants of CP violation for heavy and light Majorana neutrinos

    hep-ph 2025-05 accept novelty 5.0 of 10

The paper gives explicit formulas for CP-violation invariants of the heavy Majorana neutrino mixing matrix R and links them to heavy neutrino decay asymmetries.

  5. On T-Invariance Violation in Neutrino Oscillations and Matter Effects

    hep-ph 2024-12 accept novelty 4.0 of 10

Matter-induced T-invariance violation in neutrino oscillations requires an asymmetric matter potential along the neutrino path, and for Earth-bound experiments the effect is numerically tiny.
