Signature kinematic variables and characteristic concentrations in phase space of double parton scattering are discussed. These properties should allow the double parton contribution to $pp \rightarrow b \bar{b} \rm {jet jet} X$ at Large Hadron Collider energies to be distinguished from the usual single parton scattering contribution. A methodology is suggested to measure the size of the double-parton cross section.
