abstract

We analyze the recently discovered $D_{sJ}(2860)$ meson using arguments based on the heavy quark expansion together with the experimental observations. We consider the possible quantum number assignments, arguing that the interpretation of the meson as the $J^P=3^-$ $c \bar s$ state is favoured.

  1. The charming case of $X(3872)$ and $\chi_{c1}(2P)$

The radiative decay ratio R(X(3872)) = B(X(3872) to psi(2S) gamma)/B(X(3872) to J/psi gamma) is predicted to be 1.7 ± 0.3, matching the LHCb value 1.67, supporting the chi_c1(2P) charmonium assignment.
