Motivated by the recent search for a Higgs-Portal Scalar decaying inside the MicroBooNE detector, we demonstrate that the same search can be used to constrain Heavy Neutral Leptons. These are gauge-singlet fermions that interact with the Standard Model by mixing with neutrinos only and could be related to the origin of neutrino masses. By recasting the results of the MicroBooNE Collaboration's analysis, we show that, for a Heavy Neutral Lepton that mixes predominantly with muon-flavored neutrinos, previously unexplored parameter space can be excluded for masses between 30 and 150 MeV. Additionally, we make our Monte Carlo tools publicly available.

Muon Bremsstrahlung as a New Probe of Dark Sector at Neutrino Experiments
Muon bremsstrahlung from the focused muon beam at neutrino facilities can produce heavy neutral leptons up to ~1 GeV, opening new search territory for SBND and DUNE Near Detector.

Heavy neutral leptons from light scalar in fixed target and forward search experiments
SHiP and FPF@FCC-hh are projected to extend experimental sensitivity to a light scalar mixing with the Higgs and to long-lived heavy neutrinos in a B-L seesaw model, with SHiP strongest for scalar masses around 0.5-1 GeV.

Low-scale seesaw with flavour and CP symmetries $\unicode{x2013}$ from colliders to leptogenesis
For four flavour-symmetry cases, this paper maps heavy-neutrino lifetimes, decay flavour ratios, and the parameter space where leptogenesis works and colliders can test it.

Archimedean Seesaw: Small Neutrino Masses and Large Lepton-number Violation
A texture-zero seesaw model allows large lepton-number violation together with naturally small neutrino masses by protecting the light neutrino with an accidental symmetry.

Searches for heavy neutral lepton decays at spallation neutron sources
Current and future COHERENT detectors at the SNS can set competitive limits on HNL–neutrino mixings through pion/muon DAR production and in-detector e+e− decays, with muon mixing offering the strongest near-term reach.
