The phenomena of dark matter and the baryon asymmetry pose two of the most pressing questions in today's fundamental physics. Conversion-driven freeze-out has emerged as a successful mechanism to generate the observed dark matter relic density. It supports thermalization of dark matter despite its very weak couplings aligning with the null results from direct and indirect detection experiments. In this letter, we demonstrate that the departure from equilibrium of dark matter, induced by semi-efficient conversions, satisfies Sakharov's conditions, providing a novel explanation for both dark matter and the baryon asymmetry. Specifically, for a leptophilic model, we establish the mechanism of conversion-driven leptogenesis. The scenario predicts dark matter masses close to the electroweak scale offering testable predictions, such as soft displaced leptons at the LHC and future colliders.

    hep-ph 2026-07 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

A transient post-freeze-out decay window for dark matter, closed by a first-order phase transition that jumps a partner mass, can reduce an overproduced thermal relic to the observed abundance.

  2. Conversion-Driven Baryogenesis in Flavored Dark Matter Models

    hep-ph 2026-07 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Quark-philic flavored dark matter realizes conversion-driven baryogenesis via CP-violating mediator conversions, yielding viable DM masses up to ~1.2 TeV and long-lived-particle LHC signatures.

  3. Coscattering Dark Matter in the Inverse Scotogenic Models

    hep-ph 2025-10 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

In the inverse scotogenic model, nearly degenerate Z2-odd scalars φ1 and φ2 produce the observed dark matter relic density via coscattering through either the Higgs portal or Yukawa portal, with long-lived φ2 decays g...

  4. Constraints on the mass of the dark antibaryon using $B_d\rightarrow \Lambda \psi_{DS}$ channel in light cone QCD

    hep-ph 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 5.0 of 10

The mass ranges for the dark antibaryon ψ_DS are determined by deriving the B_d → Λ ψ_DS branching fraction via light-cone QCD sum rules and comparing it to BaBar and Belle experimental bounds.

  5. Toward a Comprehensive Exploration of Flavored Dark Matter Models

    hep-ph 2025-11 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

    hep-ph 2025-12 conditional novelty 4.0 of 10

In a U(1)_{B-L} Z' portal model with two nearly degenerate dark fermions, the conversion mechanism can produce the observed dark matter relic density while evading current collider and direct-detection constraints.
