abstract

We present a large class of new backgrounds that are solutions of type IIB supergravity with a warped AdS${}_5$ factor, non-trivial axion-dilaton, $B$-field and three-form Ramond-Ramond flux but yet have no five-form flux. We obtain these solutions and many of their variations by judiciously applying non-Abelian and Abelian T-dualities, as well as coordinate shifts to AdS${}_5\times X_5$ IIB supergravity solutions with $X_5=S^5, T^{1,1}, Y^{p,q}$. We address a number of issues pertaining to charge quantization in the context of non-Abelian T-duality. We comment on some properties of the expected dual super conformal field theories by studying their CFT central charge holographically. We also use the structure of the supergravity Page charges, central charges and some probe branes to infer aspects of the dual super conformal field theories.

  1. Covariant unification of holographic c-functions

    hep-th 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 7.0 of 10

A new covariant c-function is defined from extrinsic curvature of codimension-two bulk slices, unifying prior foliation-based definitions and exhibiting expected monotonic behavior in conformal, confining, and mixed-g...

  2. Gravity, finite duality cascades and confinement

    hep-th 2025-06 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

The authors construct and test a Type IIB supergravity dual of a finite duality cascade on an orientifolded conifold, flowing from a UV conformal manifold to a confining vacuum.

  3. Monodromy Defects in Maximally Supersymmetric Yang-Mills Theories from Holography

    hep-th 2025-12 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Codimension-2 monodromy defects in p=2,3,4 maximal SYM are realized by re-interpreting spindle solutions, and their defect entanglement entropy is shown to be proportional to the ambient free energy.

  4. Universal Observables, SUSY RG-Flows and Holography

    hep-th 2025-06 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

New Type IIB, 11d, and Type IIA supergravity flows dual to twisted-compactified 4d SCFTs yield a universal factorization of Wilson loops, flow central charges, and complexity.

  5. Evidence for a $4$-dimensional $\mathcal{N}=1$ integrable quiver in massive type IIA

    hep-th 2024-12 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Only the sinusoidal quiver α(z)=A sin(ωz) in the new massive type IIA AdS5 family shows no chaotic signatures, providing suggestive evidence for its classical integrability.

  6. ($0,6$) AdS$_3$/CFT$_2$ and surface defects

    hep-th 2025-04 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

A brane box and quiver are proposed as the 2d dual of N=(0,6) AdS3 vacua, with a central charge formula and Seiberg-like dualities, though key claims remain conjectural.

  7. Krylov Complexity and $c$-function along RG Flows

    hep-th 2026-08 conditional novelty 4.0 of 10

Along holographic RG flows, the acceleration of spread complexity and the covariant c-function are algebraically related: inversely in fixed-dimension domain walls and Dp-branes, co-monotonically in twisted compactifications.
