The Rivet toolkit is the primary mechanism for phenomenological preservation of collider-physics measurements, containing both a computational core and API for analysis implementation, and a large collection of more than a thousand preserved analyses. In this note we summarise the main changes in the new Rivet 4 major release series. These include a major generalisation and more semantically coherent model for histograms and related data objects, a thorough clean-up of inelegant and legacy observable-computation tools, and new systems for extended analysis-data, incorporation of preserved machine-learning models, and serialization for high-performance computing applications. Where these changes introduce backward-incompatible interface changes, existing analyses have been updated and indications are given on how to update new analysis routines and workflows.

  1. A resonance-aware MC@NLO QCD+EW-matched calculation of lepton-pair production

    hep-ph 2026-07 accept novelty 6.0 of 10

First automated MC@NLO matching of NLO QCD+EW to an interleaved QCD+QED parton shower with resonance-aware dipole subtraction, validated for Drell-Yan lepton-pair production.

  2. Constraints on Horndeski Gravity with Phantom Crossing

    astro-ph.CO 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 6.0 of 10

Asymptotic Cubic Galileon models can fit Planck+DESI+DES expansion history with phantom crossing and are tightly constrained by galaxy-ISW and void-force observables.

  3. Configuration and Benchmarking of $\mathrm{e}^+\mathrm{e}^-$ Processes with K4GeneratorsConfig

    hep-ph 2025-09 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

K4GeneratorsConfig automates the configuration and benchmarking of e+e- Monte Carlo generators, showing sub-permil agreement among three generators at LO.

  4. Probing the coupling of axions to tops and gluons with LHC measurements

    hep-ph 2025-08 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Using CONTUR reinterpretation of LHC data, the authors derive 2 sigma bounds on ALP-top and ALP-gluon couplings, with fa/c_t above about 200 GeV and fa/c_gluon above about 5 TeV.

  5. Recoil-Safe Subtraction, Matching and Merging in e+e- to hadrons

    hep-ph 2025-07 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

The Alaric shower is matched to NLO matrix elements and merged to five jets in e+e- to hadrons, with new analytic subtraction terms validated against Catani-Seymour subtraction.

  6. Deciphering compressed electroweakino excesses with MadAnalysis 5

    hep-ph 2025-07 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

MadAnalysis 5 v1.11 adds validated recasting of two ATLAS compressed-electroweakino searches and shows that a proposed NMSSM scenario fits the soft-lepton and monojet excesses less well than simpler models.

  7. Local Baryon Number at the LHC

    hep-ph 2025-05 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

A TeV-scale local baryon number theory predicts long-lived charged fermions with kinked-track signatures, multi-lepton events, and a small h->gamma ZB branching ratio, with current LHC data still leaving large allowed...

  8. Double Higgs Production in Vector Boson Fusion at NLO QCD in HEFT

    hep-ph 2025-02 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Full NLO QCD predictions for pp -> hhjj production in VBF with HEFT couplings cλ, cV, c2V, including non-factorising and Higgs-strahlung diagrams, show that some allowed coupling combinations reshape key observables.

  9. Watts per event: evaluating Sustainability of HEP Event Generators beyond the LHC era

    physics.comp-ph 2026-07 accept novelty 5.5 of 10

Optimal multithreading reduces energy cost per event for HIJING++ by tens of percent versus max-throughput settings, with only modest runtime increase on tested CPUs.

  10. The Plan B Model: $Z^{\prime}$ collider phenomenology and discovery prospects

    hep-ph 2026-07 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

Current LHC data exclude a significant portion of the Plan B Model's preferred parameter space, and the HL-LHC could extend sensitivity to Z′ masses around 2.5 TeV.

  11. Quark-Lepton Unification Signatures

    hep-ph 2025-11 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

In the minimal low-scale quark-lepton unification model, scalar leptoquarks decay mainly to third-generation quarks and leptons, and current LHC measurements exclude masses below roughly 1.0–1.15 TeV in the y2=0 benchmark.

  12. Herwig 7 with the Lund String Model: Tuning and Comparative Hadronization Studies

    hep-ph 2025-09 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

A Lund string model tune inside Herwig 7, the LH Tune, gives competitive descriptions of many LEP and LHC observables and enables fixed-shower comparison of string vs cluster hadronization.

  13. Data Preservation in High Energy Physics: Global Report 2026

    hep-ex 2026-07 accept novelty 3.0 of 10

The 2026 DPHEP report records substantial progress in HEP data preservation, including modern reanalyses of LEP legacy data and expanding open-data policies, alongside sustainability challenges.
