We develop an impact representation for the generalized distribution amplitude which describes the exclusive hadronization of a quark-antiquark pair to a pair of mesons. Experiments such as gamma^* gamma -> pi pi and gamma^* N -> pi pi N' are shown to probe the transverse size of the hadronization region of the quark antiquark pair that one can interpret as the transverse overlap of the two emerging mesons. An astonishing feature of this description is that low energy pi pi phase shift analysis can be used for understanding some properties of quark hadronization process.

  1. Revealing chiral-odd two-meson generalized distribution amplitudes in $e^- e^+ \to (\pi \pi) (\pi \pi)$ reactions

    hep-ph 2025-07 unverdicted novelty 7.0 of 10

The paper proposes using two-photon exchange interference in e+e- to (pi pi)(pi pi) to access chiral-odd dimeson GDAs that encode spin-orbit correlations in spin-zero mesons.

  2. $B_c$ meson decays into $S$-wave charmonium plus light meson pairs in the perturbative QCD approach

    hep-ph 2026-01 unverdicted novelty 5.0 of 10

pQCD calculations predict ~90% longitudinal polarization in B_c to J/psi or psi(2S) plus rho or K* mediated light meson pairs, with one branching ratio ratio matching LHCb at 2.67 vs 2.80.

  3. Improved global determination of two-meson distribution amplitudes from multi-body $B$ decays

    hep-ph 2025-01 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

An improved global fit of two-meson distribution amplitudes in the PQCD framework yields better convergence of the Gegenbauer expansion and resolves the Bs→K*Kbar* polarization puzzle, though the headline results are ...
