An extremely precise global symmetry is necessary in the Peccei--Quinn solution to the strong CP problem. Such symmetry arises when colored chiral fermions are localized in an internal space. We present a supersymmetric model that incorporates the above mechanism. Extra colored chiral multiplets around the supersymmetry-breaking scale are a generic prediction of the supersymetric model.

  1. A quality-coupling relation in chiral $U(1)_{B-L}$ axion model

    hep-ph 2026-08 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

In this chiral U(1)_{B-L} axion model, demanding high axion quality forces a minimal axion-electron coupling that can exceed standard KSVZ-model predictions.
