The lectures are a practical introduction to perturbative calculations in QED and QCD. I discuss methods of calculation of one- and two-loop diagrams in dimensional regularization, MSbar and on-shell renormalization schemes, decoupling of heavy-particle loops.

  1. Towards NNLO QCD predictions for off-shell top-quark pair production and decays

    hep-ph 2025-07 conditional novelty 8.0 of 10

The first NNLO QCD prediction for off-shell W+W-bbbar production with massive bottom quarks at the LHC, using a double-pole approximation for the two-loop virtual and an on-shell matching for non-factorisable corrections.

  2. First Lattice QCD Determination of Lepton-Flavor-Universality Ratios in Light-Meson Leptonic Decays

    hep-lat 2026-07 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

A first-principles lattice QCD+QED calculation determines the structure-dependent radiative correction and yields the most precise Standard-Model predictions for R_{e/μ} in pion and kaon leptonic decays.

  3. Complete Two-loop Renormalization Group Equation of the Weinberg Operator

    hep-ph 2024-11 accept novelty 7.0 of 10

The full two-loop renormalization group equation of the dimension-5 Weinberg operator in the Standard Model is derived, completing the two-loop RGE program of SMEFT up to dimension 5.

  4. 3d QFT IR divergences as UV divergences in 4d Holographic Cosmology

    hep-th 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 6.0 of 10

Two-loop 2- and 3-point functions of a massive 3d toy QFT with generalized conformal structure are log-finite in the deep IR, suggesting nonperturbative IR finiteness and, holographically, no cosmological singularity.
