Utilizing recent three-loop results on the quark and gluon splitting functions and form factors, we derive the complete threshold-enhanced third-order (N^3LO) QCD corrections to the total cross sections for the production of lepton pairs and the Higgs boson in hadron collisions. These results, for the latter case obtained in the heavy top-quark limit, are employed to extend the threshold resummation for these processes to the fourth logarithmic order. We investigate the numerical impact of the higher-order corrections for Higgs boson production at the Tevatron and the LHC. Our results, suitably treated in Mellin N-space, provide a sufficiently accurate approximation to the full N^3LO contributions. Corrections of about 5% at the LHC and 10% at the Tevatron are found for typical Higgs masses. The N^3LO predictions exhibit a considerably reduced dependence on the renormalization scale with, for the first time, stationary points close to the Higgs mass.

  1. Generalized Threshold Factorization with Full Collinear Dynamics

    hep-ph 2019-08 accept novelty 8.0 of 10

The authors derive a generalized threshold factorization theorem for color-singlet hadron-collider processes, valid when only one parton is at large x, and show it outperforms soft threshold factorization.

  2. Slepton pair production at next-to-leading power

    hep-ph 2025-10 unverdicted novelty 6.0 of 10

Evaluates next-to-leading power threshold corrections for slepton pair production and finds them significant compared to leading power NLL terms, with underestimated scale errors for large masses.

  3. Soft and virtual corrections to semi-inclusive DIS up to four loops in QCD

    hep-ph 2025-06 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

A threshold-resummation formalism for SIDIS yields new approximate N3LO and N4LO soft, virtual, and next-to-soft coefficient functions for the diagonal quark channel.

  4. Soft corrections to inclusive DIS at four loops and beyond

    hep-ph 2019-08 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

The fourth-order (N4LL) soft-gluon exponentiation coefficient for inclusive DIS is derived in the large-nc limit and is shown to give corrections below one percent.

  5. Associated $ZH$ production in gluon fusion process at NLO+NLL

    hep-ph 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 5.0 of 10

NLO+NLL QCD corrections to gluon-fusion ZH production increase the cross-section by ~20% and reduce scale uncertainties from 20% to 12% at LHC energies, combined with Drell-Yan N3LL results.
