abstract

A low-energy non-unitary leptonic mixing matrix is a generic effect of a large class of theories accounting for neutrino masses. It is shown how the extra CP-odd phases of a general non-unitary matrix allow for sizeable CP-asymmetries in channels other than those dominant in the standard unitary case. The $\nu_\mu\to \nu_\tau$ channel turns out to be an excellent tool to further constrain moduli and phases. Furthermore, we clarify the relationship between our approach and the so-called "non-standard neutrino interactions" schemes: the sensitivities explored here apply as well to such constructions.

  1. Neutrino t-channels at Colliders: When Light Neutrinos Matter

    hep-ph 2026-07 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

The same-sign WW→ℓℓ t-channel signal for heavy Majorana neutrinos is cancelled by light-neutrino contributions in the seesaw model; the opposite-sign eµjj channel is a better probe.

  2. Analytic formulae for T violation in neutrino oscillations

    hep-ph 2025-02 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Analytic expressions for T violation are derived for standard neutrino oscillations, nonstandard interactions, and unitarity violation, with different energy dependences that could distinguish new physics.

  3. Probing non-unitarity of the PMNS matrix in P2SO and comparison with DUNE

    hep-ph 2026-03 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

Projected GLoBES sensitivities show DUNE constrains the non-unitarity parameters α11 and |α21| better, while P2SO wins on α33 (and marginally α22); non-unitarity also distorts mass-hierarchy, octant, and CP-violation ...
