In this paper we give the boundary string field theory description of brane-antibrane systems. From the world-sheet action of brane-antibrane systems we obtain the tachyon potential and discuss the tachyon condensation exactly. We also find the world-volume action including the gauge fields. Moreover we determine RR-couplings exactly for non-BPS branes and brane-antibranes. These couplings are written by superconnections and correspond to K^1(M) and K^0(M) for the non-BPS branes and brane-antibranes, respectively. We also show that Myers terms appear if we include the transverse scalars in the boundary sigma model action.

  1. Quark flavors in hot and dense holographic QCD: setup and comparison to data

    hep-ph 2025-07 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

A 2+1 flavor holographic QCD model fitted to lattice thermodynamics predicts a smoother nuclear-to-quark matter transition with lower latent heat than earlier V-QCD models.

  2. The Tachyon Chern-Simons action with a generic tachyon field, and baryons in V-QCD

    hep-th 2026-07 accept novelty 6.5 of 10

General Tachyon-Chern-Simons forms are built via Quillen superconnections for arbitrary tachyon matrices, and baryon number equals the superconnection instanton number even with massive, flavor-dependent quarks.

  3. Supergravity flows, wormholes and their pseudo-Hermitian holographic duals

    hep-th 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 6.0 of 10

Supergravity truncations admit real-metric wormhole solutions via imaginary scalar extensions whose holographic duals are pseudo-Hermitian and PT-symmetric, interpretable as entangled brane states.
