Canonical variation of a Lorentzian metric
read the original abstract
Given a Lorentzian manifold $(M,g_L)$ and a timelike unitary vector field $E$, we can construct the Riemannian metric $g_R=g_L+2\omega\otimes\omega$, being $\omega$ the metrically equivalent one form to $E$. We relate the curvature of both metrics, especially in the case of $E$ being Killing or closed, and we use the relations obtained to give some results about $(M,g_L)$.

Using osculating vacua, the authors derive Einstein's equations from the causal action principle, with the gravitational coupling identified as the square of the regularization length.

Bianchi cosmologies in a Thurston-based theory of gravity
In a Thurston-geometry-dependent gravity theory, non-tilted BKS cosmologies admit shear-free perfect-fluid and static vacuum solutions for all topologies, isotropize under positive Lambda except for some Bianchi II ca...
