abstract

We formulate the conditions defining the irreducible continuous spin representation of the four-dimensional Poincar\'e group based on spin-tensor fields with dotted and undotted indices. Such a formulation simplifies analysis of the Bargmann-Wigner equations and reduces the number of equations from four to three. Using this formulation we develop the BRST approach and derive the covariant Lagrangian for the continuous spin fields.

BRST-BV approach to fields in Poincare patch of AdS

hep-th · 2026-07-02 · conditional · novelty 6.0

A general BRST-BV Lagrangian for arbitrary-spin free fields in AdS is constructed by reducing the problem to solving algebraic defining equations for spin operators.

Spinor-helicity formalism for continuous-spin particles

hep-th · 2026-06-26 · unverdicted · novelty 6.0

A new single two-component spinor formulation for continuous-spin particles allows straightforward amplitudes, shows infinite-spin limit of massive amplitudes with exponentiation, and yields nontrivial collinear amplitudes constrained by a dimensionful CSP parameter.

Light-cone vector superspace and continuous-spin field in AdS

hep-th · 2025-07-07 · unverdicted · novelty 6.0

Light-cone vector superspace yields simple spin operators for continuous-spin fields in AdS, enables classification of bosonic and fermionic cases in 4D, and produces all unitary irreps of the non-linear spin algebra.
