We report a measurement of the quadrupole power spectrum in the two degree field (2dF) QSO redshift (2QZ) survey. The analysis uses an algorithm parallel to that for the estimation of the standard monopole power spectrum without first requiring computation of the correlation function or the anisotropic power spectrum. The error on the quadrupole spectrum is rather large but the best fit value of the bias parameter from the quadrupole spectrum is consistent with that from previous investigations of the 2dF data.

    astro-ph.CO 2026-07 accept novelty 7.0 of 10

For finite-rank signals the optimal wide-angle estimator is the two-ℓ Yamamoto form, whose exact window is a finite FFT-computable sum that improves ultra-large-scale SNR by O(1).

    astro-ph.CO 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 7.0 of 10

Light-cone mocks demonstrate that analytical corrections for survey-window and integral-constraint effects on PNG in galaxy power spectra lose accuracy below the equality scale and fail when PNG is present, enabling u...

  4. The observer power spectrum for lightcone statistics, integrated relativistic observables and wide angle effects

    astro-ph.CO 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 6.0 of 10

Introduces the observer power spectrum as a diagonal Fourier-space statistic for lightcone observables by transforming over observer positions rather than sources.

    astro-ph.CO 2026-02 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Combining BOSS power spectrum and bispectrum with DESI and DES lensing data yields a sound-horizon-free H0 = 70.2 ± 2.3 km/s/Mpc, with a 1.8σ BAO scale deviation that is scale-cut dependent.

  6. Unbiased analysis of primordial non-Gaussianity: the multipoles of the full relativistic power spectrum
