We consider a FRW cosmological model with an exotic fluid known as Chaplygin gas. We show that the resulting evolution of the universe is not in disagreement with the current observation of cosmic acceleration. The model predict an increasing value for the effective cosmological constant.

  1. Sign-Switching Dark Energy: Smooth Transitions with Recent DESI DR2 Observations

    astro-ph.CO 2026-02 conditional novelty 6.0

Sign-switching dark energy with a transition at z_† fits recent DESI DR2, Planck CMB, and Pantheon+ data better than ΛCDM while raising the inferred Hubble constant and easing the Hubble tension.

  2. Geodesic completion of big bangs from emergent geometry

    gr-qc 2026-02 unverdicted novelty 5.0

Phantom Chaplygin gas forces the Einstein-frame lapse to change sign smoothly while the causal-frame lapse stays positive, yielding a robust non-singular bounce even with extra matter.

  3. Cosmological and lunar laser ranging constraints on evolving dark energy in a nonminimally coupled curvature-matter gravity model

    gr-qc 2025-12 unverdicted novelty 5.0

Nonminimal curvature-matter coupling produces dynamical dark energy consistent with DESI observations and lunar laser ranging equivalence principle constraints.

  4. Resolving the Planck-DESI tension by nonminimally coupled quintessence

    astro-ph.CO 2025-08 unverdicted novelty 5.0

Non-minimally coupled quintessence resolves the Planck-DESI Ω_m tension at >3σ while the effective equation of state stays above w=-1 and other tensions on neutrino mass and growth rate are relieved.

  5. Observational tests of \texorpdfstring{$\Lambda(t)$}{Lambda(t)} cosmology in light of DESI DR2

    physics.gen-ph 2026-04 unverdicted novelty 2.0

MCMC constraints on two Lambda(t) models with DESI DR2, CC, and Pantheon+ data yield H0 ~72.5-73 km/s/Mpc, Omega_m0 near standard values in joint fits, and n~0.3 indicating mild deviation from LambdaCDM.

  6. Modified Gravity Theories on a Nutshell: Inflation, Bounce and Late-time Evolution

    gr-qc 2017-05 accept novelty 2.0

Modified gravity theories supply viable mathematical frameworks for inflation, bounces, and dark energy eras that match observational data.
