abstract

We re-analyze proton beam dump data taken at the U70 accelerator at IHEP Serpukhov with the $\nu$-calorimeter I experiment in 1989 to set mass-coupling limits for dark gauge forces. The corresponding data have been used for axion and light Higgs particle searches in Refs. before. We determine new mass and coupling exclusion bounds for dark gauge bosons.

  1. Muon Bremsstrahlung as a New Probe of Dark Sector at Neutrino Experiments

    hep-ph 2026-07 conditional novelty 7.0

Muon bremsstrahlung from the focused muon beam at neutrino facilities can produce heavy neutral leptons up to ~1 GeV, opening new search territory for SBND and DUNE Near Detector.

  2. Heavy neutral leptons from light scalar in fixed target and forward search experiments

    hep-ph 2026-07 conditional novelty 6.0

SHiP and FPF@FCC-hh are projected to extend experimental sensitivity to a light scalar mixing with the Higgs and to long-lived heavy neutrinos in a B-L seesaw model, with SHiP strongest for scalar masses around 0.5-1 GeV.

  3. Constraining the heavy leptophilic neutral gauge bosons through the $Z\to\ell^+\ell^-$, $W^\pm\to\ell^\pm\nu_\ell$, and $h\to\ell^+\ell^-$ decays

    hep-ph 2026-03 conditional novelty 6.0

    One-loop corrections to W/Z/h leptonic widths exclude heavy leptophilic Z' regions (M ≳ O(1) TeV, g' ≳ 0.4) beyond LEP-2 and neutrino-trident limits.

  4. Constraining Gravitational Dark Matter with LHAASO and Fermi-LAT

    hep-ph 2025-12 reject novelty 6.0

Diffuse Galactic gamma-ray data strongly limit the couplings of gravitationally produced decaying dark matter, and the paper claims an oscillation-based bound on massive dark photons.

  5. Light Vector Dark Matter via a Magnetic Dipole Portal: Bridging Direct Detection and Fixed-Target Searches

    hep-ph 2025-11 reject novelty 6.0

A sub-GeV vector DM model with a magnetic dipole portal is studied at LDMX/NA64, but the claimed viable region relies on an unjustified thermal equilibrium assumption.

  6. Filling the Gap: Hunting for Vector Bosons at the MUonE Experiment with Displaced Decay Signature

    hep-ph 2025-11 conditional novelty 6.0

MUonE's displaced-vertex search, combining muon-electron and muon-nucleus production, could probe vector-boson mediators up to ~150 MeV and close a documented parameter-space gap.

  7. Forward Searches for Heavy Neutrinos and $Z'$ Bosons at FCC-hh

    hep-ph 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 5.0

Projections indicate the FPF at FCC-hh can extend reach for light long-lived heavy neutrinos and Z' bosons in chiral U(1) models beyond existing experiments via meson decays and bremsstrahlung.

  8. Spin Identification of Dark Sector Mediators through Angular Distributions

    hep-ph 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 5.0

An angular distribution observable from decay products distinguishes vector versus scalar spin for dark sector mediators in meson decays, enabling spin identification at DUNE, SHiP and FASER2 in unconstrained parameter space.

  9. Testing light and heavy vector mediators with solar CE$\nu$NS measurements

    hep-ph 2026-02 conditional novelty 5.0

Combined solar CEνNS data from XENONnT, PandaX-4T, and LZ yield competitive constraints on vector NSI and light mediators and a weak mixing angle measurement at low momentum transfer.

  10. Direct Detection and Cosmological Constraints of Dark Matter with Dark Dipoles

    hep-ph 2026-02 conditional novelty 5.0

Cosmological and direct-detection data already exclude most sub-GeV dark-matter parameter space for dark-photon magnetic dipole interactions, with semiconductor detectors needed to probe the remaining electric-dipole ...

  11. Probing the dark axion portal via $J/\psi$ decays at BESIII and STCF

    hep-ph 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 4.0

Monte Carlo studies show BESIII data already reaches previously unexplored regions of the dark axion portal via J/ψ → a γ' decays, with STCF projected to improve sensitivity by about an order of magnitude.

  12. A congruous approach with realistic cross section towards limiting sub-GeV dark matter from LUX-ZEPLIN

    hep-ph 2025-09 conditional novelty 4.0

Using LZ nuclear recoil data, the authors derive 90% CL exclusion limits on cosmic-ray-boosted sub-GeV dark matter for two U(1)' mediator models, with energy-dependent cross sections improving the lower reach versus c...

  13. The Dark Photon

    hep-ph 2020-05 unverdicted novelty 2.0

The paper surveys theoretical motivations, experimental searches, and bounds on the dark photon as a kinetically mixed gauge boson from a dark sector, covering both massive and massless cases along with related milli-...
