abstract

The regularization procedure for getting the four-dimensional nontrivial Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet effective description of gravity and its Lovelock generalization has been recently developed. Here we propose the regularization for the three-dimensional gravity, which is based on the rescaling of the coupling constants and, afterward, taking the limit $D \to 3$. We obtain the generalization of the Ba\~nados-Teitelboim-Zanelli solution in the presence of the higher curvature (Gauss-Bonnet and Lovelock) corrections of any order. The obtained general solution shows a peculiar behavior: The event horizon is allowed not only for asymptotically anti-de Sitter spacetimes, but also for the de-Sitter and flat cases, when the Gauss-Bonnet coupling constant is negative. The factor of the electric charge is analyzed as well for various branches of the solution and the Hawking temperature is obtained.

  1. D-dimensional black holes in extended Gauss-Bonnet gravity

    gr-qc 2025-08 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

Charged and rotating anti-de Sitter black hole solutions are constructed in extended Gauss-Bonnet gravity for dimensions three, four, five and higher.

  2. Long-lived quasinormal frequencies for regular black hole supported by the Einasto profile in the presence of the magnetic field

    gr-qc 2026-03 conditional novelty 4.0 of 10

For Einasto-supported regular black holes, larger effective scalar mass and certain halo parameters suppress the quasinormal damping rate, producing long-lived modes and shifting grey-body factors toward higher frequencies.

  3. Massive scalar field perturbations of 4D de Sitter Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet black holes

    gr-qc 2025-05 conditional novelty 4.0 of 10

Massive scalar perturbations of 4D Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet de Sitter black holes are stable and show three quasinormal mode branches, including a non-perturbative de Sitter branch that disappears in the Schwarzschild-de...
