Primordial black holes (PBHs) generated by gravitational collapse of large primordial overdensities can be a fraction of the observed dark matter. In this paper, we introduce a mechanism to produce a large peak in the primordial power spectrum (PPS) in two-field inflationary models characterized by two stages of inflation based on a large non-canonical kinetic coupling. This mechanism is generic to several two-field inflationary models, due to a temporary tachyonic instability of the isocurvature perturbations at the transition between the two stages of inflation. We numerically compute the primordial perturbations from largest scales to the small scales corresponding to that of PBHs using an extension of BINGO (BI-spectra and Non-Gaussianity Operator). Moreover we numerically compute the stochastic background of gravitational waves (SBGW) produced by second order scalar perturbations within frequencies ranging from nano-Hz to KHz that covers the observational scales corresponding to Pulsar Timing Arrays, Square Kilometer Array to that of Einstein telescope. We discuss the prospect of its detection by these proposed and upcoming gravitational waves experiments.

  1. Pushing the Primordial Frontier: Exact Linear Solutions in Multifield Inflation

    astro-ph.CO 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 8.0 of 10

Exact analytic solutions for coupled linear perturbations in two-field inflation provide a closed-form primordial power spectrum that interpolates weak, strong, light, and heavy field regimes.

  2. Pushing the Primordial Frontier: Cosmological Collider Signatures at Strong Mixing

    astro-ph.CO 2026-07 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

Exact analytic squeezed-limit bispectra for strongly mixed two-field inflation, nonperturbative in the curvature-isocurvature mixing λ.

  3. Heterotic Warm Inflation

    hep-th 2025-09 conditional novelty 7.0 of 10

In a heterotic-string-inspired two-field warm inflation model, the axion drives inflation while thermal corrections from gauge fields block sustained dilaton-driven inflation.

  4. Constraining primordial non-Gaussianity and parity-violation through Scalar-Induced Gravitational Waves with next-generation ground-based interferometers

    astro-ph.CO 2026-07 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

ET+CE forecast: injected SIGW parameters (A_p, f_peak, f_NL, tau_NL, parity-odd tau_tilde_NL) are recovered within 1-2 sigma despite an astrophysical foreground, but the chiral V-mode is sub-threshold (SNR 0.5-1.9).

  5. Are Primordial Black Holes Truly Fine-Tuned?

    astro-ph.CO 2025-12 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

Using a normalized sensitivity measure γ=c/c̄, the authors find γ≈1 for three single-field ultra-slow-roll inflation models and conclude PBH production is not technically unnatural.

  6. Implications for Pulsar Timing Arrays of Sub-solar Black Hole Detections: From LVK to Einstein Telescope and Cosmic Explorer

    astro-ph.CO 2025-08 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

A Bayesian analysis shows that a future sub-solar PBH detection would make the primordial SIGW interpretation of PTA data favored over the SMBH interpretation, but this preference is driven by the detection prior.

  7. Gravitational Waves from Primordial Black Holes: Connecting Low-Frequency Scalar-Induced Signatures to High-Frequency Binary Mergers

    astro-ph.CO 2026-07 unverdicted novelty 4.0 of 10

For monochromatic primordial black holes, the low-frequency scalar-induced gravitational-wave peak and the high-frequency binary-merger ISCO frequency are linked by fISCO ≈ 3.4×10^20 Hz × (fSIGW/Hz)^2.

  8. Cosmological constraints on small-scale primordial non-Gaussianity

    astro-ph.CO 2025-05 conditional novelty 4.0 of 10

Current pulsar-timing, CMB, BAO and PBH data constrain the small-scale local f_NL to -10.0 < f_NL < 1.2 for a monochromatic primordial power spectrum, with that constraint conditional on the spectral amplitude A_zeta = 10^-2.
