We argue that the proper time from the horizon to the black hole singularity can be extracted from the thermal expectation values of certain operators outside the horizon. This works for fields which couple to higher curvature terms, so that they can decay into two gravitons. To extract this time, it is necessary to vary the mass of the field.

Imprint of the black hole singularity on thermal two-point functions
Thermal two-point functions in holographic AdS black holes receive exponentially small non-perturbative corrections controlled by null geodesics bouncing off the singularity.

Bouncing singularities and thermal correlators on line defects
Retarded correlators of displacement operators on line defects in holographic thermal CFTs exhibit bouncing singularities that match between interior-sensitive WKB and boundary-only OPE analyses.

Symmetric Product Orbifold Universality and the Mirage of an Emergent Spacetime
Symmetric product orbifolds have large-N thermal correlators identical to BTZ, undercutting the claim that a type III1 von Neumann algebra implies a sharp emergent horizon.

A Reverse Black Hole Information Problem
Exact CFT states for colliding particles that form evaporating AdS black holes are constructed, and several coarse-graining maps are shown to convert the exact pure state into mixed semiclassical Hawking radiation wit...

One-point holographic correlator in the expanding universe
In the RS-II braneworld with p-brane gas, the holographic thermal one-point function of heavy operators inherits its time dependence from the brane motion: late-time power-law decays τ^{-Δ/2}, τ^{-2Δ/3}, τ^{-Δ} for ra...

Geodesics, One Point Functions and Black Hole Perturbations
In a perturbed Euclidean BTZ black hole, the first-order change in the thermal one-point function is still controlled by the change in the boundary-to-horizon geodesic length, up to m-dependent prefactors.
