abstract

We investigate inhomogeneous chiral condensation under rotation considering finite size effects and boundary conditions in the holographic QCD model. The rotational suppression effect determined by $\Omega r$ is confirmed in the holographic model which is not influenced by the boundary conditions. For chiral condensation at the center, it is found that under Neumann boundary condition the finite size exhibits two opposite effects, i.e., catalysis at high temperatures and inverse catalysis at low temperatures. In contrast, under Dirichlet boundary condition, the effect of finite size on condensation is inverse catalysis, and small size induces a phase transition from inhomogeneous to homogeneous phase. The temperature-angular velocity phase diagrams of QCD are obtained for different boundary conditions and sizes, and it is found that the critical temperature decreases with angular velocity.

  1. Baryonic vortices in rotating nuclear matter

    hep-ph 2026-03 unverdicted novelty 7.0

Global baryonic vortices in rotating nuclear matter become energetically viable due to causality-enforced finite size, competing with local vortices under tunable rotation, size, and chemical potential.

  2. Chromomagnetic condensation and perturbative confinement induced by imaginary rotation in SU(2) Yang-Mills Theory

    hep-ph 2026-02 conditional novelty 7.0

In SU(2) Yang-Mills, imaginary rotation is shown to induce a chromomagnetic condensate and to turn the perturbative confinement transition first-order, with phase boundary approaching Ω̃_c = π/√3.

  3. A Chromomagnetic Mechanism for the Rotational Phase Transition of Gluonic Matter

    hep-ph 2026-07 conditional novelty 6.0

Using a rotation–magnetic holographic dictionary calibrated to lattice QCD, the paper predicts real rotation raises T_c and induces a negative total moment of inertia in pure gluonic matter near deconfinement.

  4. Baryonic vortices in rotating nuclear matter

    hep-ph 2026-03 conditional novelty 6.0

Previously discarded global pion vortices become finite-energy and energetically competitive in rotating nuclear matter because causality bounds the system size.

    nucl-th 2025-03 unverdicted novelty 5.0

Rotation lowers critical temperatures for chiral and deconfinement transitions in the Polyakov linear sigma model under causality constraints, with mechanical properties computed in the homogeneous limit.
