abstract

The radiative corrections to the $\tau^-\to (P_1P_2)^-\nu_\tau$ ($P_{1,2}=\pi, K$) decays are calculated for the first time including the structure-dependent real photon corrections, which are obtained using Resonance Chiral Theory. Our results, whose uncertainty is dominated by the model-dependence of the resummation of the radiative corrections and the missing virtual structure-dependent contributions, allow for precise tests of CKM unitarity, lepton flavour universality and non-standard interactions.

  1. Electroweak precision physics via angular distributions in hadronic $\tau$ decays

    hep-ph 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 7.0 of 10

Angular moments in two-pseudoscalar tau decays give form-factor-independent SM relations that tensor new physics and scalar mass effects can break.

  2. CP violation studies at Super Tau-Charm Facility

    hep-ex 2025-02 conditional novelty 4.0 of 10

A future Super Tau-Charm Facility is projected to test CP violation in hyperon, tau, and charm decays at 1e-4 to 1e-3 sensitivities and improve the kaon CPT mass-difference limit tenfold.

  3. Radiative corrections to one- and two-meson tau decays for precise new physics tests

    hep-ph 2024-11 conditional novelty 2.0 of 10

Improved radiative corrections bring the pion tau-decay ratio into one-sigma agreement with lepton universality and sharpen CKM-unitarity and non-standard-interaction constraints.
